Andrés Rotmistrovsky is a musician, bass player and educator with more than 24 years of experience.
He graduated with honors from The Berklee College of Music where he received the following prestigious awards: "Outstanding Performer Award" and "Charles Mingus Award". For 15 years, from 2004 to 2019, he studied in Boston and New York.
He has played on some of the most recognized stages in the world like the Blue Note Jazz Club, Montreux Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Latin Grammys and the Boston Symphony Hall. Rubén Blades, Michael League (Snarky Puppy), Joan Baez, Eva Ayllón, León Gieco, Julia Zenko and Marta Gómez are a few of the Iconic artists with which Andres has shared a stage and studio recordings.
His electric bass arrangements as a solo player have caught the attention of many music lovers, receiving special mentions in educational and cultural publications all over the world.
Andrés has given music courses in United States, Canada, India, Nepal, Australia, Holland, Switzerland, Chile, Denmark, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain and Madagascar. Since the beginning of 2020, Andes is deeply committed to musical education through his online courses focusing on music, perception, creativity and the idea that everyone is their own teacher.
